The ceremonial opening of the First Session of the Tenth Parliament commenced a short while ago. 
The National People s Power (NPP) Colombo District Member of Parliament, Dr. Rizvie Salih has been unanimously elected as the new Deputy Speaker of Parliament. 
The representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), currently on a visit to Sri Lanka, are scheduled to meet with officials from the Ministry of Energy and the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) for a discussion.
