Sri Lanka police have issued a announcement regarding the restriction of vehicular movement in the stretch of road between the 143rd and 144th kilometer posts on the Badulla-Bibile Road in the Passara police division. 
Following a successful intelligence-sharing operation between the Sri Lanka Navy and the Maldivian Coast Guard, a Sri Lankan fishing trawler carrying about 344 kg of crystal methamphetamine (Ice drugs) and about 124 kg of cocaine has been seized by Maldivian Coast Guard. 
A 50-year-old man and his 20-year-old daughter are reported missing while five others have been rescued following a tragic boating accident in the Munnakkarai Lagoon in Negombo, police said. 
The Speaker of Parliament Ashoka Ranwala has stated that he intends to discuss with Member of Parliament (MP) Dr. Archchuna Ramanathan regarding his recent controversial conduct.
