A 39-year-old bus driver attached to the Nawalapitiya SLTB Bus Depot has reportedly passed away due to a sudden illness while driving a bus towards Nawalapitiya, thereby causing the bus to veer off the road and crash. 
The Ella - Wellawaya main road will be temporarily closed for traffic from 6.00 p.m. today (16) until 6.00 a.m. tomorrow due to the prevailing inclement weather conditions.
