The US Ambassador in Colombo Julie Chung says that the United States welcomes the International Monetary Fund s (IMF) approval of Sri Lanka s second review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme. 
Senior officials of South Korea and the United States held an emergency phone call over a possible impending visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to North Korea, Seoul s foreign ministry said on Friday (June 14).
