India on Friday expressed deep concern over the recent developments between Iran and Israel and called for restraint from both sides, according to a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). 
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, currently on an official visit to Germany, met with members of the Sri Lankan community residing in the country last afternoon (13). 
India has decided to extend the LKR 300 million financial assistance for another year to support the passenger ferry service between Kankesanthurai in Sri Lankas north and Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu. 
The Kankesanthurai Police Station has reportedly received an anonymous phone call alleging that around 10 police stations in the Northern Province would come under attack.
