The Sri Lanka Electricity Bill , which incorporates the proposed reforms for the electricity sector, was presented to the parliament by Power Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera on Thursday (25). 
President Ebrahim Raisi has stated improved relations between Iran and Sri Lanka in various fields would benefit the two countries and the Indian Ocean region. 
Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha says that 60,000 applications were received for new admissions to National Colleges of Education (NIEs). 
Sri Lanka s Secretary Defence General Kamal Gunaratne has held bilateral talks with Russia s Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev in St. Petersburg.
