In a significant step towards strengthening good governance and transparency in Sri Lanka, the Government of Japan has extended a grant of USD 2.5 million to support a new anti-corruption initiative implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). 
The Chairman of the Litro Gas Company, Channa Gunawardena says that the prices of its domestic LP Gas cylinders will remain unchanged for the month of July 2025. 
Three-wheeler operators say they expected a considerable reduction in prices of fuel as promised by the National People s Power (NPP) during the election stage. 
The Colombo Magistrate s Court has ordered the remand of three suspects, including former Commissioner General of the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT), Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasingha, until July 8.
