A virtual meeting was held yesterday (27) between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the President of the World Bank Group (WBG) Mr. Ajay Banga at the Presidential Secretariat, to discuss Sri Lanka s future development priorities. 
Both houses of Indian parliament were suspended temporarily on Thursday within minutes of opening as opposition lawmakers disrupted proceedings for the third day this week seeking a discussion on allegations against the Adani Group. 
The National STD'AIDS Control Programme (NSACP) of the Ministry of Health says that HIV infections among the country s youth has increased owing to factors such as the use of mobile phones and modern technology to find partners, as well as the lack of proper sex education. 
Payagala Police have arrested Dissanayakage Chaminda, also known as Petti Malli , a resident of the Koshena area who was allegedly involved in trafficking heroin to Payagala and several other areas.
