The Joint Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine (JCPSM) has announced that it will commence a strike tomorrow (June 5), citing several unresolved demands, including issues related to the healthcare sector. 
No decision has been taken to do away with the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination for now, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has stated. 
The number of people seeking assistance from the President s Fund has seen a notable increase, according to the President s Media Division (PMD).
