The Controller General of Immigration and Emigration, Harsha Illukpitiya, who is accused of being in contempt of court after failing to enforce a court order related to the e-visa issuance process, has pleaded guilty before the Supreme Court. 
Three-wheeler operators say they expected a considerable reduction in prices of fuel as promised by the National People s Power (NPP) during the election stage. 
The Colombo Magistrate s Court has ordered the remand of three suspects, including former Commissioner General of the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT), Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasingha, until July 8.
