The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) has reported a shortage of several essential medicines, including painkillers, antibiotics, and medications for high blood pressure, diabetes, and kidney diseases. 
India has decided to extend the LKR 300 million financial assistance for another year to support the passenger ferry service between Kankesanthurai in Sri Lankas north and Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu. 
Acting Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), inspected the Turkish Navy ship TCG Büyükada, which arrived in Sri Lanka on an official visit yesterday (13 June).
