President Ranil Wickremesinghe today announced plans to transform Sri Lanka s agriculture sector using modern technology, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), and to support private sector entrepreneurs interested in this initiative. 
The Economic Transformation Bill and the Public Financial Management Bill will be presented to the Parliament on Wednesday (22 May), according to the Secretary General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadeera. 
Twenty Indian crew members and a Sri Lankan are stranded on board the Dali, the container ship that collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore. 
One Sri Lankan fisherman has been killed while another is reported missing after a multi-day fishing vessel collided with a ship off Valaichchenai, Trincomalee.
