Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, Vijitha Herath has met with Ambassador Indra Mani Pandey, Secretary General of BIMSTEC, at the Parliament Complex to discuss advancing cooperation in Science, Technology, and Innovation, Sri Lanka s Foreign Ministry said. 
The Kaduwela Magistrate s Court has imposed an overseas travel ban on Daisy Forrest Wickremesinghe, also known as Daisy Achchi , who is the grandmother of Yoshitha Rajapaksa, in connection with a money laundering case. 
Sri Lanka Police say that 13 shooting incidents have been reported during the period elapsed so far this year. 
A total of 17 police personnel have been dismissed during the last four months over the charges of using narcotic drugs, Police Spokesman SSP Buddhika Manathunga said today (11). 
Sri Lanka Police has taken measures to establish a Central Crimes Investigation Bureau (CCIB) with DIG Nihal Thalduwa as the Range DIG and SSP Shani Abeysekera as its Director.
