Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni has issued a clarification following media reports that claimed 180 types of medicines are in short supply at hospitals across the country. 
An individual has been arrested for the theft of goods worth nearly Rs. 100 million from various parts of the country. 
A number of electoral organisers of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) have resigned from their respective positions due to issues relating to the selection of members for local government bodies.
