A bus slammed into cars and motorbikes after its brakes apparently malfunctioned in Indonesia s West Java province, killing at least 11 people, mostly students, and injuring dozens of others, officials said Sunday. 
The Meteorology Department warns that thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Eastern and Uva provinces and in Colombo, Gampaha, Puttalam, Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi and Polonnaruwa districts today (12). 
A significant increase in skin-related diseases is being observed across the island these days, as revealed by Dr. Indira Kahawita, Dermatologist at Colombo National Hospital.
