President Ranil Wickremesinghe emphasised that Rs. 01 billion will be allocated next year for research on the relationship between Buddha s teachings and Artificial Intelligence (AI). 
Information has been uncovered regarding a large-scale racket of illegally importing shoes manufactured in foreign countries and selling them within Sri Lanka. 
A significant increase in skin-related diseases is being observed across the island these days, as revealed by Dr. Indira Kahawita, Dermatologist at Colombo National Hospital. 
President Ranil Wickremesinghe stated that he expects to increase the growth rate of Sri Lanka s economy up to 3% by the year 2025 and mentioned that steps would be taken to increase the salaries of government employees. 
The Meteorology Department warns that thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Eastern and Uva provinces and in Colombo, Gampaha, Puttalam, Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi and Polonnaruwa districts today (12).
