The Court of Appeal today (02) granted leave to proceed with the hearing of the petition filed seeking to nullify the parliamentary membership of Jaffna District Independent MP Ramanathan Archchuna. 
The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to implement the programme to provide scholarships for students who obtained higher grades at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination to study their first degree at foreign universities. 
The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to Parliament in October.
