Sri Lanka s new government has responded to allegations over the lack of Muslim representation in its Cabinet of Ministers. 
The necessary provisions for incurring and accounting for certain essential expenses in the coming period of the year 2024 should be made through a Supplementary Estimate, Cabinet Spokesman, Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said during the today s Cabinet press conference. 
The Cabinet Spokesman, Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa clarified that no decision has been taken to ban tuition classes in the country. 
Colombo Additional Magistrate Manjula Ratnayake has ordered the issuance of an arrest warrant against Jaffna District Independent Member of Parliament Archchuna Ramanathan, through the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Jaffna. 
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal for the restructuring of international sovereign bonds by way of swapping existing bonds for new bonds in accordance with the parameters indicated in the debt sustainability analysis conducted by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
