Sri Lanka s Foreign Ministry announced that thirty-two (32) Sri Lankan nationals who were victims of human trafficking and stranded in Myanmar have been rescued on Monday (25 November) following a successful, coordinated process. 
The Commissioner General of Examinations, Amith Jayasundara has announced that G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination candidates who are unable to reach their designated examination centres due to adverse weather conditions are permitted to sit for their exams at the nearest available centres. 
Jaffna District Independent Member of Parliament Archchuna Ramanathan, who inadvertently sat in the seat designated for the Leader of the Opposition during the inaugural session of the Tenth Parliament, has apologized for the incident. 
Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated that in order to restore the Parliament as a supreme institution, which has faced public scorn and disapproval in the past, the Parliamentarians must act with the awareness that they are the representatives of the people. 
The Supreme Court has fixed for consideration on December 12, a Fundamental Rights (FR) petition filed seeking an interim injunction suspending the holding of 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination. Copyright © 2007 - 2024 Col3neg. All Rights Reserved.
