The death toll from the unidentified fever spreading in Jaffna has risen to five, according to the Jaffna Hospital Director Dr. T. Sathyamoorthy. 
The Israeli military announced on Tuesday that it conducted approximately 480 airstrikes over the past 48 hours, targeting key military installations across Syria. 
Former Member of Parliament M.K. Sivajilingam has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Colombo due to an illness, according to his relatives. 
A fire has reportedly broken out at a house in the Pothupitiya area of Wadduwa, resulting in the complete destruction of the property, according to police. 
Sri Lanka s regulatory environment for the insurance sector is regarded as "developing with limited transparency," according to Fitch Ratings.
