The Ella - Wellawaya main road will be temporarily closed for traffic from 6.00 p.m. today (16) until 6.00 a.m. tomorrow due to the prevailing inclement weather conditions. 
The Department of Meteorology says showery and windy conditions are expected to enhance due to pre-monsoonal conditions over the country and surrounding sea areas. 
The Ministry of Education says that G.C.E. Advanced Level classes for the students who sat for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination this year, will commence on June 04, 2024.
