The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Ashley de Silva today issued a clarification regarding the matter pertaining to the visa application submitted by Sri Lankan cricketer Kusal Mendis in order to take part in the upcoming ICC Men s T20 World Cup in the US. 
The four accused in the case over the shooting to death of three persons and injuring 45 others during a protest by villagers demanding clean drinking water at Rathupaswala in 2013, have been acquitted by the Gampaha High Court Trial-at-Bar. 
The Economic Transformation Bill and the Public Financial Management Bill will be presented to the Parliament on Wednesday (22 May), according to the Secretary General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadeera. 
The National War Heroes Day ceremony is scheduled to be held on Sunday (19) evening at the Parliament Ground and a special traffic plan to be implemented on that day was announced by Police today.
