Senior Professor Hareendra Dissabandara has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC). 
Cabinet Spokesman Minister Vijitha Herath says that the fertilizer subsidy of Rs. 25,000 for paddy farmers will commence from Ampara District next Monday (Oct. 14). 
Cabinet Spokesman Minister Vijitha Herath assured that legal action will be taken against those involved in orchestrating and leading the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
