Former Chairman of SriLankan Airlines, Nishantha Wickramasinghe, who was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), has been further remanded until July 15, Ada Derana reporter said. 
The Controller General of Immigration and Emigration, Harsha Illukpitiya, who is accused of being in contempt of court after failing to enforce a court order related to the e-visa issuance process, has pleaded guilty before the Supreme Court. 
The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) says that since a maximum retail price has been imposed on rice, raids will be conducted to penalize traders who sell rice at higher prices. 
Three-wheeler operators say they expected a considerable reduction in prices of fuel as promised by the National People s Power (NPP) during the election stage. 
The Colombo Magistrate s Court has ordered the remand of three suspects, including former Commissioner General of the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT), Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasingha, until July 8.
