The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) has revised its fuel prices with effect from midnight today (May 31). 
At least 85 people died of suspected heat stress and related issues in Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in 24 hours, senior officials in these regions said on Friday, amid an unforgiving heat spell in India that has pushed temperatures to unprecedented levels in many of these regions. 
Extreme temperatures across Asia are driving up liquefied natural gas (LNG) demand in the region as importers seek cargoes ahead of summer, with imports in South Asia hitting records. 
The names of the students who have obtained the best results in the island at the 2023 (2024) G.C.E. Advanced Level examination from each stream have been released. 
The Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) is expected to meet next week for further discussions pertaining to the formal authorization and implementation of the "Starlink" service in Sri Lanka, the State Minister of Technology Kanaka Herath says.
