The Cabinet of Ministers has granted the approval to revise the tariffs for water and sewerage, the Department of Government Information says. 
The price of a cup of plain tea has been reduced to Rs. 30, the All-Ceylon Restaurant Owners Association says. 
Parliament is scheduled to meet this afternoon (Aug 09) to commence the adjournment debate moved by the Opposition on the government s policy statement presented by President Ranil Wickremesinghe last week. 
The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has granted its approval to increase electricity tariffs by 75% on average.
