In a momentous ceremony held today (Dec.05), the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) marked a significant chapter in the history with the ceremonial induction of two Harbin Y-12 IV aircraft at SLAF Base in Ratmalana. 
A sub-inspector attached to Kalmunai police station who was arrested on charges of soliciting a sexual bribe has been remanded until December 19, on the orders of the Colombo Chief Magistrate. 
Sagala Ratnayaka, the Senior Adviser to the President on National Security and Chief of Presidential Staff, has called for reports on the progress and future plans of the Beira Lake Development Project to the President by December 15. 
Sri Lanka will get about $600 million, on a staggered basis, from the Asian Development Bank after the International Monetary Fund releases the second tranche of a $2.9 billion bailout for the crisis-hit country, an official said on Tuesday.
