The Committee on Public Finance (COPF) has summoned the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security and the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration for an inquiry tomorrow (08), says the Chairman of COPF MP Harsha de Silva. 
Two retired officers of the Sri Lanka Army have been arrested for illegally recruiting Sri Lankan army soldiers to be employed in the Russian military.
Three persons including police officers have been arrested by Bribery Commission officers while accepting a bribe of Rs. 200,000. 
A 54-year-old man was shot dead by two gunmen in Bogahapitiya area of Ahungalla on Wednesday evening (08).
