Sri Lanka has expressed condolences to the bereaved family members of the victims of the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad this afternoon. 
An Air India Ahmedabad-London flight crashed at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad during take-off, according to foreign media reports. 
Prisons Commissioner Jagath Weerasinghe has been appointed the Media Spokesperson of the Department of Prisons. 
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday U.S. personnel were being moved out of the Middle East because "it could be a dangerous place," adding that the United States would not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon.
