The Cabinet of Ministers has green-lighted the proposal to hand over the management of Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport to a selected private sector company which has submitted Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the purpose. 
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Power and Energy to appoint a committee to study the matter and make recommendations to prepare a necessary legal framework for the introduction of a regulatory body for energy sector. 
The Committee on High Posts has green-lighted the appointment of a new ambassador, a ministerial secretary and two chairpersons to state institutions. 
The Director General of the Ministry of Transport and Highways S.S. Mudalige has been appointed to oversee the functions and duties of the General Manager position of Sri Lanka Railways. 
The re-scrutinized results of the 2022(2023) G.C.E. O'L examination will be released before the 2023 (2024) O'L examination, Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha said.
