The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) is yet to submit the proposals regarding the reduction of electricity tariffs to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL), according to PUCSL chairman Prof. Manjula Fernando. 
A person hacked to death with a sharp weapon early this morning (09) in the Kurundakanda area of Thotagoda in the Akmeemana police division. 
Officers attached to the Narcotics Control Unit of Sri Lanka Customs have arrested a passenger at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake with Gold Gel weighing nearly 2 kilograms and estimated to be worth around Rs. 40 million.
