A total of 264 new leprosy patients have been identified from across the island during the period from the beginning of this year, according to the Anti-Leprosy Campaign (ALC). 
It has been revealed during the meeting of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) that about 130 engineers of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) have left the service as of recently. 
President Ranil Wickremesinghe has highlighted the government s efforts to enact numerous new laws aimed at apprehending criminals over the past two years. 
The Maligakanda Magistrate s Court has issued an order on several trade union leaders of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) and others over a protest march planned in Colombo this evening (15).
