The Sri Lankan Embassy in Tel Aviv has issued an urgent notice in response to escalating tensions following a series of Israeli airstrikes on Iran earlier this morning (13). 
The Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) has secured a majority in the Jaffna Municipal Council, marking a significant political development in the region. 
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Friday confirmed that the Natanz nuclear site is among those targeted in Israeli strikes on Iran. 
Israel launched widescale strikes against Iran on Friday, saying it targeted nuclear facilities, ballistic missile factories and military commanders and that this was the start of a prolonged operation to prevent Tehran from building an atomic weapon.
