The acceptance of applications for the admission of students into the intermediate grades of national schools will conclude tomorrow (June 02), the Ministry of Education says. 
The Provincial Education Secretaries and Directors have been authorised to make a decision on whether or not to hold schools tomorrow (June 03) due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions across the island, State Minister of Education Aravindh Kumar said.
The Ministry of Education has decided that all schools across the island will remain closed tomorrow, according to State Minister of Education Aravind Kumar. 
The water level of the Kelani River has reached flood level in the Kelanimulla area, the Department of Irrigation announced. 
Two flights arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake have been diverted to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport as a result of extreme weather conditions.
