The number of patients receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following a tragic accident in the Thoraya area on the Dambulla-Kurunegala main road has increased. 
As part of the National Animal Exchange Program, Sri Lanka has received a pair of brown bears, a pair of hyenas, and three pairs of meerkats from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for exhibition in local zoological gardens. 
Sri Lanka Police has taken measures to establish a Central Crimes Investigation Bureau (CCIB) with DIG Nihal Thalduwa as the Range DIG and SSP Shani Abeysekera as its Director. 
The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to make nearly 7,500 recruitments to several government institutions based on the recommendations of the committee appointed to review recruitment process of the government service and management of the staff. 
The chairman of the Litro Gas Company, Channa Gunawardena says that the prices of its domestic LP Gas cylinders will remain unchanged for the month of February 2025. MORE..
