Several areas in Colombo and Kalutara experienced power disruptions earlier today (June 6) due to a tripping of the Biyagama-Pannipitiya main transmission line, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) confirmed. 
Chief Opposition Whip Gayantha Karunathilaka has withdrawn from the three-member committee appointed to inquire into a complaint regarding the conduct of Attorney-at-Law and Member of Parliament Dayasiri Jayasekara. 
Former Executive Director of the National Lotteries Board (NLB), Thusitha Halloluwa, has been further remanded until June 13, said Ada Derana reporter.
