A 26-year-old youth has been clubbed to death inside a house in the Horahena area in Hokandara. 
The schoolgirl, who was critically injured in the tragic accident during the recent Fox Hill Super Cross 2024 motorsport racing championship at Diyatalawa, has succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment in hospital last night (15), increasing the death toll from the fatal crash to 08. 
Consultant Community Physician Dr. Sherine Balasingham of the Health Ministry s Directorate of Non-Communicable Disease says that the number of patients with high blood pressure reported in Sri Lanka has increased. 
The resumption of the passenger ferry service between Nagapattinam in India and the Kankesanthurai region near Jaffna in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka has been delayed again for an indefinite period, Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva has said.
