Moody s has placed Sri Lanka s Ca long-term foreign currency rating on review for an upgrade, the credit ratings agency said on Wednesday, following the government s bond-exchange offer that aims to complete the restructuring of international bonds. 
The A-9 main road to Jaffna which was closed at Omanthai due to floods has now been reopened for traffic movement, police said. 
The infamous tusker known as Deegadanthu 1 , one of the elephants with the longest tusks in the country, often spotted roaming the Kala Wewa National Park, has been electrocuted to death after coming into contact with an electric fence set up in front of a house in Andiyagala, Hinguruwewa. 
A virtual meeting was held yesterday (27) between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the President of the World Bank Group (WBG) Mr. Ajay Banga at the Presidential Secretariat, to discuss Sri Lanka s future development priorities.
