Sri Lanka will start talks on a free trade agreement with Malaysia, as it seeks to improve trade ties to support its recovery from a financial crisis, the Cabinet spokesperson said on Wednesday. 
The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) completed the second review under the 48-month Extended Fund Facility (EFF) Arrangement, allowing the authorities to draw SDR 254 million (about US$336 million). 
State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe expressed gratitude to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Board Members, Management and Mission Team for the unwavering and dedicated support extended to Sri Lanka following the approval of the second review of the EFF programme. 
Muslim pilgrims have been streaming into Saudi Arabia s holy city of Mecca ahead of the start of the Hajj later this week, as the annual pilgrimage returns to its monumental scale.
