The Examinations Department has announced the postponement of the 2024 Sri Lanka Law College General Entrance Examination, originally scheduled for December, due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions in the country. 
Adverse weather conditions have severely impacted 20 districts across the island, with total of 80,642 families in 166 Divisional Secretariat divisions currently affected, according to the Disaster Management Center (DMC). 
The A-9 main road to Jaffna which was closed at Omanthai due to floods has now been reopened for traffic movement, police said. 
Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has written to his Sri Lankan counterpart Harini Amarasuriya to congratulate her on her appointment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said on Thursday (Nov 28).
