The heat index - the temperature felt on the human body - is expected to increase up to the Caution level at some places in Northern, North-Central, North-western and Eastern provinces and Monaragala and Hambantota districts, the Meteorology Department said in a heat index advisory. 
In a recent discussion, President Ranil Wickremesinghe expressed his concerns about the obstacles faced by students when taking exams in unfamiliar environments. He emphasized the need for the Ministry of Education and the Examinations Department to prioritize the convenience and progress of students over their own convenience. 
President Tayyip Erdogan and supporters on Monday revelled in an election victory lengthening his rule into a third decade while Turkey s opposition, which once counted on winning, braced for "difficult days" against an increasingly autocratic government.
