The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has announced that fines will be imposed on public officials who fail to submit their assets and liabilities declarations after today (14 July). 
Member of Parliament Sujeewa Senasinghe has appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this morning (14) to provide a statement regarding an incident involving an illegally assembled vehicle. 
The programme to grant a monthly allowance of Rs. 5,000 to children held in detention homes, child development centers or with a guardian and street children will commence tomorrow, Minister of Women and Child Affairs Saroja Savithri Paulraj stated. 
Former State Minister Prasanna Ranaweera has been remanded until July 28 by the Mahara Magistrate s Court, Ada Derana reporter said. 
The present government-led by the National People s Power (NPP) has changed its stance on taxes and is now following the path taken by former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, leader of the Sarvajana Balaya Alliance Parliamentarian Dilith Jayaweera stated.
