The Ella-Wellawaya road which was temporarily closed due to inclement weather conditions has been reopened for traffic movement. 
The Sports Ministry s Anti-Corruption Unit today informed the Colombo Magistrate s Court that they are yet to receive the voice test report related to the investigation being carried on former Sri Lankan cricketer Sachithra Senanayake, over allegations of match-fixing. 
The four accused in the case over the shooting to death of three persons and injuring 45 others during a protest by villagers demanding clean drinking water at Rathupaswala in 2013, have been acquitted by the Gampaha High Court Trial-at-Bar. 
Nine Pakistani nationals, who were arrested on charges of smuggling a large cache of drugs, have been sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Colombo High Court. Copyright © 2007 - 2024 Col3neg. All Rights Reserved.
