France won a record 15 billion euros ($16.17 billion) in foreign investment pledges on Monday, allowing President Emmanuel Macron to bask in the limelight with global CEOs and forget about strained public finances and weak polls for a while. 
A foreigner national has reportedly sustained injuries in an accident while participating in the Base Jump event at the Colombo Lotus Tower this afternoon (13). 
The retired Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Colombo, His Lordship the most Rev. Dr. Marius Peiris has passed away, the Archdiocese of Colombo announced.
