The Colombo High Court has sentenced a 50-year-old father of one, to eight years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) after he was found guilty over the charges of serious sexual assault on an underage child. 
United States international development finance corporation, which is partially funding the Colombo port terminal in Sri Lanka, is employing due diligence on the project after the allegations against the Adani Group chairman by the US Department of Justice came to light. 
Allegations of illegal financial gains connected to the contentious E8 visa scheme have been directed at former Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment, Manusha Nanayakkara. 
The Fort Magistrate s Court has ordered the release of former MP Sujeewa Senasinghe s controversial luxury vehicle, which is now in court custody, on a bond of Rs. 100 million, Ada Derana reporter said.
