The Government of Sri Lanka says it hopes to continue discussions with the bondholders with a view to reaching common ground ahead of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) board consideration of the second review of Sri Lanka s Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program. 
The 31-year-old, who was arrested for allegedly singing a distorted version of the popular New Year song Sooriya Mangalle by veteran singer Rohana Beddage and sharing it on social media, has been remanded. 
The proposed electricity sector reforms have been published in the government gazette on Wednesday (17), as the Sri Lanka Electricity Bill . 
U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Tuesday warned that the U.S. intends to hit Iran with new sanctions in coming days over its unprecedented attack on Israel, and these actions could seek to reduce Iran s capacity to export oil. 
The National People s Power (NPP) says that, under its administration, proper legal action will be instituted against those implicated, either directly or indirectly, in the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks that killed more than 250 people and injured hundreds of others.
