The power supply has been disconnected to several areas as a precautionary measure due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions and floods, the Secretary of the Ministry of Power and Energy said. 
The Ministry of Education has decided that all schools across the island will remain closed tomorrow, according to State Minister of Education Aravind Kumar. 
The acceptance of applications for the admission of students into the intermediate grades of national schools will conclude tomorrow (June 02), the Ministry of Education says. 
Two flights arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake have been diverted to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport as a result of extreme weather conditions.
