SriLankan Airline CEO Richard Nuttall said that the government is on its way to privatise several state-owned enterprises as part of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program and one of those is the flag carrier of the island nation. 
The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved Sri Lanka s second review under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme, paving the way for the country to receive the third tranche of around USD 330 million, Sri Lanka s Foreign Minister Ali Sabry said. 
Muslim pilgrims have been streaming into Saudi Arabia s holy city of Mecca ahead of the start of the Hajj later this week, as the annual pilgrimage returns to its monumental scale. 
The online applications for university admissions for the academic year 2023'2024 will open on 14 June 2024, the University Grants Commission (UGC) said. 
The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) completed the second review under the 48-month Extended Fund Facility (EFF) Arrangement, allowing the authorities to draw SDR 254 million (about US$336 million).
