A total of 17 police personnel have been dismissed during the last four months over the charges of using narcotic drugs, Police Spokesman SSP Buddhika Manathunga said today (11). 
The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) announced that no power cuts will be imposed tomorrow (12). 
Sri Lanka Police say that 13 shooting incidents have been reported during the period elapsed so far this year. 
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved call for expressions of interest for the identification and selection of suitable investors for the development and expansion of the Sapugaskanda oil refinery complex. 
Sri Lanka Police has taken measures to establish a Central Crimes Investigation Bureau (CCIB) with DIG Nihal Thalduwa as the Range DIG and SSP Shani Abeysekera as its Director.
