Four persons were taken into custody in Kollupitiya while impersonating Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers and demanding Rs. 10 million in cash, the Bribery Commission says. 
The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for severe lightning in several provinces and districts. 
The Meteorology Department says showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, North-western and Uva provinces after 1.00 p.m.
